The American Medical Society conducted studies showing that energy-efficient buildings that are tightly sealed contribute to this dilemma, trapping gases and toxins like lead, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and fine particulate matter. Since most people spend up to 90% of their time indoors, this kind of pollution can lead not only to respiratory problems, but a host of other ailments, including immune system disorders and neurological conditions.

Whole House Ultraviolet Air Purifiers
